War

Wars have been fought in the world ever since they world began. The early tribes and civilizations fought wars over land or to gain power. War is necessary. Ofcourse, it should be the last resort. If two countries have a dissagreement they should first try to compromise or solve the issue. If there is no chance the issue is going to be resolved then, depending on the severity, war is a last chance option. War is also an option when one country is clearly threatening another or controlling another. Two justifiable wars that have occured in the past would include the American Revolution and World War II.

Britian forced intense contol over the American colonies, who wanted to be self-sufficient. The Americans sent request after request to ask the British to lessen the extensive taxes and control over America. The British refused and placed even larger restricions on America. In order to gain control over themselves, the Americans declared war on the British empire. In my opinion, this war is completetly justifiable. As is any other war when one group feels oppressed by another or restricted by a ruler in their own county.

When one country is threatening another country it is justifiable for them to go to war. World War II is an excellent example of this. Japan was not only entering China and performing horrific actions against the Chinese citizens, but the Japanese also atttacked Pearl Harbor. The attack on Pearl Harbor was a clear attack, or threat, to America. Americans knew the Japanese had attacked Pearl Harbor; therefore, it was logical for them to decare war.

These are instances where war is justifiable. WWII and the American Revolution are each treamendous examples. War should be declared once the concerning groups have attempted to work the issue out, or when one group feels clearly threatened by another.
