War

There is a time for war. War happens for many reason - seeking revenge from atrocities of other countries, resources, independence, etc. The simple fact that war has occurred suggests their is a time for war. However; war is by no means morally right. As for it being the lesser of two evils, what would they second evil be? There is no close second to war. War is the ultimate stance taken that can not be withdrawn, it results in the death of thousands of innocent people and the losses felt are almost never worth what is gained. I would say that there is never a responsibility for us to go to war for another country. Its always some political stance that causes us to do so due to an inter-country alliance. There are alternatives to war, but in many cases neither source is willing to submit to those alternatives or the alternatives continue the oppression of one side. War is just bad.
