Technology

Q: Has technology ever inconvenienced you or hurt you? Maybe technology got in your way, slowed you down or even literally hurt you? Have you seen technology have a negative impact on society?

One time my brother threw his phone at me... that counts right?
Apart from the literal sense of technology hurting someone, I can say that today's innovations in technology are responsible for the deaths of millions directly and indirectly.

The development of the internet,  a global system of interconnected computer networks that serves billions of users, such a system can serve infinite possibilities; however with such possibilities come responsibilities that the majority of users are not inclined to amount to. In the obvious case of cyber bullying, through means of the internet, people across the nation become victims of harassment of all types - Such an atrocity is responsible for the deaths millions every year through teen and LGBT suicide.
The industrial revolution, the mass production of food now days, though it may allow for the abundance of resources leading to an increase in population, creates a domino effect of extraneous variables. With the exponentially increasing population size we are staring straight down the barrel of depleting resources because of our overpopulation, and, in the case of America, we are faced with the glutton of millions of citizens and increasing rates of glutton related diseases.
Finally we may look to the more literal representation of technology in its destruction of man kind - weapons. With our constantly 'improving' weapons of mass warfare, a human may take the life of another, simply by flexing an index finger. Needless to say, this has literally caused the deaths of hundred of millions of people on a yearly basis. Consequentially, technology, though it has lead to life of millions, has also taken away such life and looks as though it shall lead to the death of humanity in the long run.
