Good Vs. Evil

Good Vs. Evil

I would have to say I do not believe in absolute good and evil, such a thing is simply opinion based, not fact based.
Look to the cases of Harry Potter Vs. Voldemort - Harry Potter believed that what he was doing was in the interest of Humanity - the good of the many. Voldemort on the other hand believed that through eradicating the wizarding world from all sources of magic other than pure blood and instilling a sort of totalitarian government in the magic realm he would be helping it in the long run, thus being the original justification of the sacrifices he made of his soul in the form of a horcrux.
The same analogy can be used on the Sith Vs. the Jedi both parties thought that they were doing so for the good of humanity or at least for the good of themselves. In some way, one side is doing it for good, no matter how twisted or manipulated that good may be. There is no clear cut view of what is good and evil because such a thing is simply nonexistent. Everyone works for the original intention of doing good, but society perceives on side as evil. It is because of this blurred line between good and evil that one may jump the boundaries and switch into either side.
In the case of Star Wars, Luke went to the 'Dark' (Evil) side because he believed that what he was doing was for the good of humanity, despite what society may have thought
. In the case of Avatar the Last Air Bender, Zuko, Zuko had thought that what he was doing had always been for the good of the fire nation, but he later came to the realization that what he was doing was wrong and then left to the 'good' side.
In all cases, the antagonist or protagonist or anti-hero or what have you, did not switch to the side of good/evil because of what society saw of him/her, but rather because of what realizations he came to. Therefore we may conclude that there is no concrete form of good and evil as it takes an abstract form for every person- every one acts with good intentions - it is society that perceives it as good or evil.
