Good v Evil

The question of whether or not there is a battle between the forces of good and evil to me can be answered by taking a look at the different morals and perspectives of the people, organizations, etc. involved. Firstly lets look at the Leah Kleppinger example. She is applauded by many because she did what most would call the morally right thing to do and return the money to its rightful owner. A person with what most would call more poor morals could have taken the money and to them, this wouldn't be an evil act. You have to admit the owner of the wallet has to be especially careless to leave a wallet with so muh money lying around. A person with "bad morals" could make the arguement that it wasn't an act of evil but instead an act of survival and not think twice about it. And to himself, he would be right. It all depends on how you look at a situation, decide yourself what is morally just, and act. That is the root of all evil however people who make morally wrong choices.

Take the ultimate example of good versus evil in our society. World War Two: the allies versus the axis. Today, it's almost common knowledge that the Nazis were evil isn't it? I mean the symbol for the S.S. was a skull and cross bones; it's like they are admitting they're evil. But to them they weren't. No one can make the arguement that the Nazis knew what they were doing was wrong and they just didn't care. They were an entire country for goodness sakes, an entire nation wouldn't knowingly play the bad guy. But, they had different morals than we did. They were able to justify their actions while we are amazed anyone could have committed them. So we, having different morals, put them in a negatitve light (which they completely deserve)and thus we are the ones who make them the bad guys. It is all about where you come from, how you look at a situation, and what you determine is morally decent. That is where the battle between good and evil lies: between individuals with different morals.
