Assignment 3: Good v. Evil

I do not believe in the concept of good versus evil. I believe everyone falls into a gray area in-between the two. Maybe they are "decent" or "okay" but never just good or evil. No matter how hard it is to see it, there is something good in everyone and something bad in everyone even if they try to cover it up. The example of Leah Kleppinger is an instance of her being good at a single moment. It is a great story and she seems like a great person, but I am sure that Kleppinger has done things in her life that she is not proud of and wishes to take back. Almost all movies display characters as good and evil where the characters' values are exaggerated to make them seem exceptionally good and likable or just the opposite. Media also plays a role in showing the "bad" people of our society because most stories are about crimes and murders rather than good deeds. I think people can make mistakes and still be good rather than evil. Nobody is perfect and we are destined to make mistakes, but we must also learn from them to become better people and not make the same mistake in the future.
An example of someone who is often described as being evil as well as good is Tiger Woods. He is a professional golfer who cheated on his wife numerous times and is hated by millions across the world. Tiger Woods also founded the Tiger Woods Foundation and has raised and dispersed more than $30 million to charities and communities. Although Tiger Woods made a huge mistake, he is a good person in the sense that he has helped communities of people improve their lives. No one can be inherently good or evil and I believe it's ridiculous to describe someone in that way.
