Good OR evil?

 I do not believe in an absolute good or evil. I do, on the other hand, believe in a grey area. ANY person in the world can perform a good action. ANY person in the world can perform an evil action. A thief could walk down the street see a boy getting beat up and help the boy get out of the fight. That is a good action performed by a not so good person, based on the fact that he or she is a thief.                Contradicting the last point, a generally good person could just as easily as a “evil person”  disrespect  another person in any way. Disrespecting a person to me includes rape and theft. And on  a less sever note, saying “d*** b**** get out of my way” or talking about someone behind their back (which everyone does.) In real life, good can be evil and evil can be good; but, there is no absolute in either.                  

In many movies there is a villain- absolute evil- and a hero-absolute good. For example, the Sith is definitely evil and the Jedi are undoubtedly good. The Sith’s selfish goals are to gain power and control over the people. Killing large amounts of people to gain control and power for oneself is viewed as evil in our society. The Jedi fight the Sith for the good of the people. The Jedi wish to maintain order and reach peace in the galaxy. Maintaining order and trying to reach peace is viewed as good.  Many people believe there is an absolute good and an absolute evil, which is why is it completely acceptable for movie makers to place each in movies.

Evil and good will always exist. Evil and good will last until the end of time.  There will never ever be a society that is completely good or one that is completely evil. A society could be extremely close to absolutely good. And someone would take advantage of  the good with evil actions. There will always be the corrupt citizens who will perform evil actions. Just the same, if a society was entirely evil, there would a group of good people who don’t fit in. Good will always strive to abrogate evil. Not possible. Evil will try to rip good to pieces. That will not happen either. Good will always exist just like evil will always exist.
