Merriam-Webster defines "good" as, "of a favorable character or tendency," while "bad" is defined as, "failing to reach an acceptable standard." These are the generally accepted definitions for both of these words, though in my opinion, these words take on a slightly different form.
Just because someone is "good" doesn't mean they are the best person in the world; for instance, he or she could have a really terrible habit (or something along those lines), yet still be a good person. For me, the term "good" doesn't necessarily mean "perfect." A good person is someone who knows when to do the right thing(s). A good person has good intentions. If someone does something bad or makes a mistake, it doesn't make him or her an evil person.
Evil is usually considered to take that form of anything that's just plain bad. However, as previously mentioned, sometimes good people can do bad things. Therefore, evil really can only take one form: being completely motivated by doing harm to anyone or anything. If all bad things were evil in the world, most people wouldn't be considered "good."
