YOLO

just kidding im not actually going to do my post about that ridiculous song and even more more ridiculous phrase.
But i believe it was two summers ago i was in a research camp (cause that's what all the cool kids do for their summer). I had gotten into trouble (cause im such a bamf) and the director was reprimanding me, "blah blah blah!" but then she hit me with this line that has stuck with me ever since. "James, you might not see this [or you might not know this] but me and the other counselors do. You have a certain power, influence, over the other kids. and it's up to you to decide if you want to use that influence [over your peers] for good or for evil... your choice!" Of course me being a 14 or 15 year old kid i didnt believe her. But i started to look out for it, and sure enough i saw a direct relation between the way i reacted to something or what kind of mood i was in to how peers around me reacted to something. So now i always try to keep an optimistic outlook on things and i am always cautious of someone watching me, because you never know how much influence you are having on someone's life.
