How To Survive Without Being Able to Drive

So since I am only 15 and I have 4 more months until I am eligible for my permit, I figured I could share my opinions on how to get around without being able to drive. So first off, get a phonebook and find people who live nearby you that aren't too weird and then become their best friend. Don't ask for rides until you know them well and they trust you and consider you a decent friend. Once you've reached a friendship you can slowly start asking for rides, but dont ask for huge favors at first. Eventually they will just start assuming that you a need a ride everywhere and youre problem is solved! Now every once in a while you may have to ride the dreaded bus, but you will survive. Atleast I have, so far.
