lets have a toast for the mean people

The best advice I have ever received was "Don't let mean people live rent free in your brain." And yes, of course my mother told me this one. I know it may seem like i have everything together, but you see, sometimes i let the littlest things bother me. If someone says a mean little comment towards me, i will think about it for a really long time and get even more upset. Last year, i had a little bit of a rough patch and some people weren't very nice to me. Whether they called me stupid, made fun of me, or ditched me, i would always seem to be really upset. That's when my mom told me this little gem "don't let mean people live rent free in your brain," and every time i even think about letting someones rude comment get in my head and bother me, i picture her saying this and usually it works!
