Right Now
When I think about what is happening right now across the globe, it makes me realize how lucky I am. My problems are insignificant. Currently, I am sitting in my room in my warm house and listening to music on my iPhone while blogging on my laptop. I may complain that I had to walk home from school or how I have yet another Biology test tomorrow, but I have very few real problems in my life. Right now, children in Africa are starving, a homeless man is freezing on the streets, a father is dying, a loyal wife just found out she is being cheated on, a young child was diagnosed with cancer, a student is depressed and killing himself. We have so much to be thankful for and must give back to those who are not as fortunate as us. Although money can be a solution to many problems, we must also be compassionate to everyone in need. However, there are also great things happening right now. A man just won the lottery, a teacher just got engaged, a wife had her first baby, and a girlfriend is being proposed to. The are highs and lows of a lifetime can fluctuate, and we always need to remain optimistic about the present and future.
