How to Become a Proper Harry Potter Fan:
1) READ THE BOOKS. the movies are lovely, of course! But the books explain things that are never mentioned in the movies and they simply make everything 24601% more magical.
2) Watch the movies after you've read the books. Of course, there are many Harry Potter fans who saw the movies first, and that's fine; if you have the chance though, the books are better and should be read first!
3) Dedicate yourself! unfortunately, there are no more movie premieres (*sobs loudly*) but there are plenty of opportunities to proudly sport your Hufflepuff scarf or your nifty Ravenclaw tie! Harry Potter conventions are the best. if nothing else, have a party with your friends!
4) If you have made it this far and are genuinely enjoying yourself (which I very much hope you are) then YOU ARE a Harry Potter fan! And if you just want to be one but aren't THAT dedicated, consider yourself initiated.
And now, congratulations! Either you are successful because you really like it all, or you are successful because you want to be a fan, or you are unsuccessful. which I suppose is not cause for congratulations. (so maybe congratulations in your other endeavors, whatever they may be?)
