Advice

The best advice I have ever received was from my dad. He told me, "Be yourself, be proud of who you are and don't let anyone bring you down." This advice has significantly impacted my life because it has encouraged me to live for myself rather than to impress other people. Ever since my dad has given me this advice, I have been living out the way I want to, I say stupid things a lot, embarrass myself, but at the end of the day it's better to be surrounded by people that accept you for the way you are. Adding on to the rest of the advice my dad gave me, if anyone ever insults or makes fun of me (not that it happens often), I don't let it bother me because I know that I am the person I want to be, and that the jeers of others should make an insignificant impact on me and my life.
