The first time I actually talked to Olivia Faulkner was Freshman Year, in our homeroom on the second or third day of school. I had remembered her from citizenship class the day or two before, and figured I would say something (I didn't know many people in the Academy at the beginning of the school year and thought I could make a new friend). I honestly don't remember what the heck we talked about (probably citizenship or maybe how strange Mr. Lentz seemed), but I remember thinking that she was a really interesting person!
That thought definitely still holds today; if you read her blog posts, you can tell that! While we're on the subject of her blogs, let's all just get this clear: she has a very specific style of writing that's definitely going to take her places. To quote one of her own blog posts, "People tell me I have a way with words, but I call that spontaneity." No, you really do just have a way with words, Olivia. Before I go on to say where she wants to be in five years, let me just say that I'm quite positive that she'll be on her way to publishing her first book. A lot of times during class, I've noticed her writing. Though I'm not sure what it was about, I'm sure it was something as awesome as her blog posts.
Anyway, back to where she wants to be in five years: after going to college, Olivia wants to be a high school math teacher. She really likes the subject and hopes that she can help future kids go through their math/high school experience. So basically, here's how her future looks: she will have a few published books and will be teaching high school math. It sounds pretty promising to me!
Here are two fun facts about Olivia:
1. Her phone case is probably the cutest case in the history of phone cases. It's Stitch (if you don't know who Stitch is, you don't belong on this planet)! And you can have his ears out or tucked away! I find it adorable. :D
2. We both have the same favorite color (purple) and the same standards about grammar (if you don't know the differences between their/they're/there, your/you're, and u/you, then please get the heck out of my sight)!
I. love. you. so. much.
