Good Morning,
As you awake I lay underneath you, keeping you safe, sound and comfortable. If you are afraid or if life has you sad and demoralized simply pull me over your chin and sense as your problems turn into a calm blissful state of relaxation. Throughout my existence I have witnessed you grow through every stage of your life: From your birth as you lay inside my confinements watching the world between the bars, to your growth towards adolescence as I taught you independence in your choice to lay rest upon me rather than being put to rest upon me - you watched the world atop the cushion of protection I provided you. No matter what state you were in - content, sadness, despair, fright - you could find shelter in me and no matter how much you enjoyed leaving me, you found no greater pleasure than ultimately laying your head down on the refreshing cloud that constitutes my body and wrapping yourself up in my blankets as you drift off to sleep. No matter what form I come in - a bed of grass, a bench, a mattress - I will always be here for you and I will never intentionally cause you harm. Your well being leads to my well being and it is my duty to uphold such to the highest degree. Now you seem tired, go to sleep, dream of happier days and rest yourself until we meet again.
Good Night,
Bed
