1. What's your favorite shirt and why?
2. Are you a morning person or a night person?
3. Do you have a go-to "happy place"? If so, what is it?
My number one "happy place" that I visit in my mind is the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC. The Kennedy Center contains millions of wonderful experiences for me and is an artistic environment that I can find nowhere else. Also, part of the reason I love the Kennedy Center so much is because of it's location. Walking up the steps to the Hall of Nations, if you turn your head slightly to the left you can see the Lincoln Memorial peaking above tree tops. And if you're lucky enough to be in DC on July 4th, the roof of the Kennedy Center has a spectacular view of the Capitol Fourth Fireworks Show. The Hall of Nations itself is breathtaking. Grand columns rise up on all sides of you and multi-colored flags hang down from the ceiling as far as you can see. It reminds you that people from all over the world, of all different interests, come here to enjoy the arts together. Backstage, which many people don't have the pleasure of experiencing, holds row upon row of pictures autographed by world renowned artists. This section, blocked off for guest artists, also contains some of the best practice rooms with high tech recording settings and sound proof systems. Not mention, it's remarkable seeing the huge travel sized cases for the National Symphony Orchestra members' instruments! Finally, the actual Concert Hall itself is astounding! The feeling of absolute thrill stepping onto the stage with lights shining and crowds roaring is a feeling I'll never forget.
