Right now

Right now is a lot different from what I expected seven days ago right now. Seven days ago I would have imagined that right now I'd be hugging and sending a good friend to the airport. Instead, that good friend, with a twist of events, has just finished her college audition and is probably somewhere in an airport looking for a direct flight from Bloomington to Charlotte. Right now, in Bloomington there's probably a panel of judges looking very satisfied with how the future of music is going to turn out. In fact, they're probably checking a little black box that says "accept" with a little blue pen. Detour, 179.9 miles away, there's a very stressed young girl sitting in her living room, typing away at a laptop. She has 2 more hours to finish all her chores and school work before she has to put on tight little black heels, dress pants, and a nice blue silk top for a performance in Louisville. Thirty minutes down the road from that house, there's the greatest coach in the world calling up her fiance to let him know that Onfoure just won a competition and she'll be heading up to Louisville tonight to hear them play at the Winner's Recital. Somewhere else in this general vicinity, there's a mother preparing snacks for the short road trip and there's a boy still looking for a ride to Louisville. All of us, going about our individual lives at the exact same moment, but connected through chance and events. Right now, as I finish this blog and hit "publish" someone, somewhere get's a notification.
