i'll be there for you

Friends is probably my all-time favorite show. I mean, there are some close runner-ups (The Office and Grey's Anatomy and others), but Friends is the only show where I will always laugh and always have some sort of emotion... sorry, I just love all of them.

I love all the characters a ton, but if I had to choose to be one fictional character, it would be Monica, probably because she's the one I'm most like already. I mean, I'm already a little annoying and compulsive, so it'd work out, right? She's married to Chandler and he's great and funny and blah blah blah, but she's also gorgeous and has great friends (heh).

But then I think about it again, and I'd really want to be Rachel. I have a huge girl crush on Jennifer Aniston and I'm pretty sure it's because of Rachel in Friends. She has the coolest job and I'd love to be in her spot. The only thing about Rachel is that she's a little ditzy and I wouldn't want to be ditzy. AND she left her fiancé at the altar and got pregnant unintentionally (but come on, Emma is precious), and there was that time where she broke up with Ross- they WERE on a break- but I love Rachel's and Ross's relationship. Still, I prefer Monica.

And Phoebe's cool and stuff, but she's Phoebe. I wouldn't want to be a masseuse or carry triplets that weren't even mine. Paul Rudd's great, but ya know, Princess Consuela Banana Hammock is still a weird name.

I've really enjoyed this blog post and there's probably some character that I could choose from that I didn't even think of (I predict at least 4 girls will say they want to be Blair Waldorf or Serena van der Woodsen but I don't blame them at all). I guess TV's easier to do because the characters are there for so much longer. There are plenty of nonfictional characters I'd like to be (Jennifer Lawrence) but I guess that gets away from the prompt. I just really wanted to do Friends because it's my favorite and I wanted to do it before Caroline did.

But hey: I'll be there for you when the rain starts to pour, I'll be there for you like I've been there before, and I'll be there for you because you're there for me toooooooo
