All About Me

Hi there! My name is Virginia Smith, but I go by Ginny (like Ginny Weasley). I am the only child in my house hold, but my mom and dad are there also. I have one cat and her name is Haley. Both of my parents are engineers giving me a natural liking for math and science. I love outer space and the glorious opportunities that it holds. For me, this year is packed with 4 AP classes-Latin, US History, English, and Calculus- physics, band and more band. This year I plan to strive towards A's and B's if not all A's. Amazingly enough, my summer was also packed with traveling. However, my two favorite moments come from two different events. One of the events was winning the White Bracket division at the National Volleyball Tournament. This was a momentous time for my volleyball team, peaking at just the right moment! Another favorite moment this summer was going to Chicago for a mission trip, staying in West Garfield Park. This neighborhood was notoriously know for its violence and being part of an all white group in a black neighborhood didn't help us to feel secure. We pushed our boundaries and met amazing amazing people who were trying to improve the community. We volunteered at many different urban work sites from a daycare for the elderly to a sewing group in a church's basement to a group gardening around town. As for the super power... hmmmm.... being magic just like in Harry Potter (considering that is a super power)!!

What really geeks me out is Harry Potter and Space! I, Ginny Weasley of course, love how the Happy Potter books are written and how Universal could bring it to life in the fantabulous Wizarding World of Harry Potter! That world made the books really come to life for me-adding in personal experience at Hogsmeade!
SPACE. The world of opportunities is literally endless in space. Since I was young, I have been dreaming of being in outer space someday. The Galaxies are beautiful and the stars are captivating. I have recently become really excited with Curiosity landing on Mars- because is a giant step towards the first man on Mars!!!! Also, one of my ongoing dreams is to be the inventor of a flying (or levitating) car depending whichever is the cheapest. I have been doing science projects learning about magnetic forces and the effect they can have.

To explain the above picture a little bit, I am also a girl scout and one of the events my troop holds for the younger girls is a Fairy Ball. They dress up as fairies and we lead the activities. This is just a way to say thanks for the girl scout influence in our lives.
This Picture is me, of course, with the conductor of the Hogwarts Express!!!

One of my favorite websites is youtube.com. I particularly like the parody of Batman called Holy Musical B@man! It is a fantastic musical that I think you will enjoy!

Just watch in order and enjoy!!!
