1st post

My name is Helen Lee, I'm in 3rd hour, and I'm so average that I have no idea how to introduce myself.

My personal goal for this school year is to figure out where I'd like to go to college, what I'd like to major and minor in, and finally, what I'd like to be when I grow up.
My academic goals are to maintain straight A's, be an active member in the clubs I'm a part of, and receive 4s or 5s on my AP exams this spring.

The most meaningful moment of my summer vacation was either at GSA (Governor's School for the Arts) or volunteering at FACE (Families and Communities education) Time. It's between these two because they both taught me more about myself, but in different ways. At GSA, I was immersed in a loving community that provided me with an intensive "school" for music for three weeks. This was especially meaningful because I got to see my strengths and weaknesses and try new things every day. On the other hand, I was a returning counselor for FACE Time and, as cliche as it sounds, I learned a bit about myself through the kids I was in charge of.

If I could choose a superpower I'd pick the ability to have a second try at something.

Some additional information about myself would be that I'm South Korean, an avid reader, and obsessed with all types of cheese. I also enjoy Quesadillas and home-made salads. In addition, I have a terrible fear of butterflies.

Picture of myself (required i think?)

and finally, a link to my favorite website:
why? because my house doesn't have cable television.
