Although I generally think of technology as a good thing, there have been times where it has been an inconvenience to me. My iPhone is always on me and I use it all the time. Whether it is texting, calling, listening to music, or using apps and social media, I am constantly using my phone. This has caused me to be an excellent procrastinator, and often times I must put my phone outside of my room so I won't use it. This problem seems to affect me on a daily basis. Just last night I was trying to read my Biology textbook to study for my test today, but I found myself constantly refreshing twitter and listening to music instead. It has become second nature to look at my phone all the time, and it can make life harder. Unfortunately, this inability to study effectively led to me struggling on the test today.
On a more societal level, technology has caused people (mainly in our generation) to become obsessed with technology and lose important communicational skills. Instead of talking to their family at dinner, kids will text their friends nonstop throughout the day. Some may say that this is not a problem, but I think it is disrespectful and should be stopped. As I said, I openly use technology and think it is normally very useful and helpful, but it is also bad in the sense that we waste time on it and lose communication skills.
