Will Freeman

My name is Will Freeman, and I am really struggling to describe myself.

I am 16 and have 2 brothers named Reid and Woods. My friends are very important to me and I feel like I spend a significant portion of my free time with them. I play golf, swim, and play tennis throughout the school year and during the summer.

Just like everyone else in the Academy, my academic goals are to maintain a high GPA (hopefully all A's or 1 B), do well on my standardized tests, and score a 4 or a 5 on all my AP exams. I also want to look at more colleges and try to figure out an idea of what I want to do with my life besides go to school. Besides academics and college, I want to be a better athlete and spend time with my family and friends.

The most meaningful moment of my summer vacation would probably be going to Cashiers, NC with my family because my brother has left for his freshman year at the University of Virginia and it was nice to spend time with him before he leaves. We went to different high schools, each play several sports, and have tons of extracurriculars so we don't see each other much despite living under the same roof.

If I had a superpower, I would want to be able to fly. I love the feeling of flying on roller coasters, and it would be much easier and convenient to get around because I turned 16 this past summer and cannot drive by myself until January 16 (yes I'm counting).

I can't think of anything that especially "geeks" me out, but it would probably be listening to music and playing/watching sports (I am literally obsessed with the Olympics). pandora.com  is probably my favorite website because I usually turn it on when I do homework and listen to all different types of music. I also enjoy twitter.com because I like "following" and keeping up with my friends. I would usually describe myself being funny, but I find this blog post quite boring, so good job if you're still reading.

This probably makes me sound pathetic, but food also geeks me out. My favorite food is sushi (School is my favorite restaurant). I especially enjoy all Asian and Mexican food, but I love trying new and different things. I wouldn't call myself a "stereotypical nerd" like many of my peers have said, but I am most definitely a Harry Potter and a Hunger Games nerd. I have read all the books of those series twice (or more) and seen the last 3 Harry Potter movies and Hunger Games in theaters on opening night (yes I dressed up).

This is a picture of one of my friends and me dressed up for the Harry Potter double feature (7 and 7pt2) on opening night.
